Magazine for Kids - The Lighter Side

A parent who bought our Lighter Side magazine for her son had this incident to share with us........

Her 10-year old son Varun’s universe was his laptop and video games. The extra-enthusiastic mother left a copy of the Lighter Side on the coffee table hoping he would read it. For days, it lay untouched. Then, one evening, a bored Varun flipped a page. A vibrant photo of a nebula caught his eye. He read about star formation and his eyes popped out with wonder. That Saturday, he dragged his mother out, not to watch a movie, but to borrow a book on astronomy from the library.

There are 2 versions of the magazine.

• Junior: for kids between 7-10 years of age
• Senior: for kids between 11-15 years of age

We publish a magazine once every 4 weeks (monthly).

Tell me a little about the content

We write each story keeping a curious mind (not the age of the child, but what any curious person would like to know about). The stories range from geopolitics (the Dalai Lama's escapade across mountains), science trivia (why is the sea blue), cultural landmarks (how the video Mile Sur Mera Tumhara was created), mythologies (incl. stories from the Ramayan) and loads of puzzles and games.
